Ample Mammal Monthly Slot on KALX

I’ve been asked to hold a regular slot on KALX radio in Berkeley. Here is the official writeup over on the Concrete Skyline Blog.

Bay area peoples, mark your calendars. On March 19th, I’ll be headlining for the first time in San Francisco. The Down to Earth party is where you’ll want to be. 9:00 – 2 at Rickshaw Stop, with an addy of 155 Fell Street in Hayes Valley. Really phat venue. Great sound, balcony. Nice staff. If you confirm on the facebook event page, it’s only 5 clams. If you do not, then it’s 10. On the bill we got The Slayers Club of Daly City Records, followed by Alxndr of the False Profit Collective, and lastly, yours truly, Polish Ambassador a.k.a. Ample Mammal. Going to be a super fresh party, and you need to be there.

I’m going to be dropping some serious beats at the Lovetech Party on February 27th at Il Pirata. It will actually be a combination of Polish Ambassador and Ample Mammal musics, played and configured live for your listening pleasure. Cost of the event is 8 clams, and it’s sure to be a fun time. It’s a monthly that has been going on for quite awhile, so there’s always a solid crowd. There are some other cool acts playing including Pance Party. See you there!

Rubix – Get it Crackin’ Remix

I’ve had this acapella in my collection for years. Rubix was featured on a Fatbeats compilation some years ago with his single Get it Crackin’. I’m not sure if he’s still doing the emcee thing, but I’m going to give him a ring over at Myspace shortly, especially since it says he’s from the Bay Area. Here’s my Remix of Get it Crackin’. Some space-type–glitchy-hip-hop-electro-ish. It is also posted over at my Facebook Page where you can find a boatload of other tracks. I’ll be writing about them here shortly.

Cerebral Vortex & The Freshest Kids

A few weeks ago I was hunting around for some acapellas on the internets and I stumbled across some Mochipet acapellas. Amongst them were a couple of cuts from these cats known as The Freshest Kids. Buddy Leroy and Cerebral Vortex comprise the duo. I checked out their Myspace and turns out they’re from the Bay Area and Chicago, my 2 recent hoods. Here’s a video.

Anyways, I’m laying down a remix of a track called Rambunktion, and it is sounding pretty ill thus far. It’s definitely throwing the song into a new dimension. I dig me some Elecro hip hop, fer sure. Here’s a snippet.
