Apparently, there was some sort of remix contest for this track where the winner got a set at Camp Bisco. I got the stems way too late to enter, but still threw down a pretty nasty remix. You can download it for free at Bandcamp. Fek ya.
I’ve been doing a little experiment over on Facebook with a free mix album I’m giving away. This is different from The Mating Season album that was released on June 1st. In this case, we’re talking about a 40 minute mix of all original beats, riddims, and lasers, and wobbles. It’s sort of another album just in mix form. Here’s the experiment part. You must tag yourself in this video on Facebook. Then, I send you a message containing the download link to the album. Easy enough, right? So do it then, sucka!
The time is nigh. On June 1st, I will reveal some of what I have been working on over the past 6 months. Ample Mammal is a new spin-off alias of The Polish Ambassador. As an artist, it feels necessary to take chances, evolve sounds, and continue to create music that pushes forth in new directions. In my opinion, this new project differentiated enough from Polish that it warranted a name change. Will The Polish Ambassador go away? No. I have at least 2 more Polish Ambassador albums currently residing on my hard drive, and Polish Ambassador might live on as long as I do. I have no idea. Here is the album art. It will be available in all major and minor digital retail outlets, as well as The Polish Ambassador website on June 1st. Check out the Facebook landing page, with links to purchase.
Saturday, May 15th, we’ll be throwing down some phat beats at The New Parish in Oakland. The New Parish is one of Oakland’s best venues, so if you’re in the area, you should definitely come through to this major dance party. I’ll be playing with Slayers Club, Freddy Todd, and Alxndr, all masters of making dance floors wobble. If you mark yourself attending on the Facebook RSVP, you’ll save 5 bucks. Yea. See you there.
The first round was fierce, as expected. This is a live 40 minute set recorded at KALX 90.7fm radio in March of 2010. You might hear something like this when I perform live. This set was created using about 6 channels of audio. I recently set up a soundcloud page. So, here is the soundcloud link. I think it’s a pretty rad service. Also, for a limited time, you can get your hands on a free mp3 of this set when you friend me on facebook.com.
